Over the 2 days of Gold Hill Fair over 10,000 people will visit for this free festival.

Gold Hill Fair will take place on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July, with events in St James Park, Park Walk, Gold Hill and the Abbey and on Sunday in the High Street. Shaftesbury, Dorset

The Rotary Club of Shaftesbury stages this event.

Gold Hill Fair

Starts at 12:00 on the 30 June 2007

Gold Hill Fair will take place on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July, with events in St James Park, Park Walk, Gold Hill and the Abbey and on Sunday in the High Street.

Gold Hill Fair 2007

The Highlights

The Rotary Club of Shaftesbury present 2 days of free entertainment, Craft, Jewellery, lifestyle and Community Stalls, Fun Fair attractions for children. Modern dance, Morris Dancing, buskers and the Wessex Highlanders all add to an eclectic mix, which guarantees something of interest for all the family.

As in previous years we have closed the High Street on Sunday to allow for more entertainment and Dancing.

This year the Abbey has agreed to open its doors to allow free entry and erect a 2nd stage where we shall be playing a mix of Big Band, Swing, and Solo Artists. if your taste runs to Rock & Roll, Jazz then St James Park is the place for you.

Saturday 30th June daytime

9am Stalls open on Park Walk and in St James Park

12am Children's Parade along the High Street, Down Gold Hill and into St James Park.

12.30am Children's Party in the Park. Maypoles to Line Dancing

2pm to 8pm Rock, Indie & Groove in the Park

2.55pm Opening of the Fair by the Mayor on the Park Stage

2pm to 6pm music in the Abbey

Saturday 30th June evening

8pm Abbey musical entertainments present ‘'Broadway hits'' Tickets £6 Adult & £3 Children under 16

8pm The Two Brewers present The Rock Doctors



Sunday 1st July Daytime

10am - all day, Morris dancing High Street

10am - all day stalls, rides in High Street, Park Walk and St James Park

12am to 6pm Country,Acoustic, Rock & Blues

In the Park

2pm to 6pm Swing, Beat and Brass in the Abbey

3pm Rotary President's Address (Park)

6pm The Two Brewers present Power cut



All proceeds to local and Rotary Charities.
