Applications for the Sheila McKechnie Awards Programme are now open.
This is a fantastic oppurtunity for campaigners of all levels to receive a bespoke support and development package designed to take their campaign to the next level.

- Is your campaign struggling to gain momentum?
- Do you feel that you could use some support to achieve your goals?
- Are you unsure of who you should be targeting and how to approach them?

If any of the above apply to you and your campaign then a Sheila McKechnie Foundation award is for you.

What is it?
The Awards are an annual programme designed to give you the support you need to successfully plan and implement your campaign. In 2008 we will be awarding campaigners in 12 categories places on this bespoke development programme. This is a fantastic oppurtunity for you to learn what it takes to take your campaign to the next level!

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation supports anyone working for positive social change, from wheelchair users working for better provision of accessible local transport to refugees pressuring Government to change immigration policies.

What do you get?
The programme runs over 6 months and includes 1:1 mentoring, opportunities to meet and shadow senior decision makers, coaching sessions with experts in your field, public affairs coaching and a residential skills weekend.

“The SMF has access to a wealth of talent from experienced campaigners and I have been inspired and motivated by the people I have met since winning the award. I would encourage anyone currently involved in campaigning to get involved with the awards”.
Emily Robinson, Sheila McKechnie Award winner
