Heathrow to KIngsnorth Carvan - In the run up to the Climate Camp, there is a week long climate caravan...
Together with their props and sensible footwear, a handful of people set off from Bristol this morning for the climate caravan. It starts off from the location of last years camp, heathrow airport, where a conference organised by HACAN, the local anti expansion campaign , who are holding a conference about direct resistence to the proposed third runway.
The Climate Caravan will traverse London by foot, wheel and water looking at how capitalism and collective resistance to it since 17th century have set us on a path to the Climate Camp at Kingsnorth in 2008.
They will hear local tales looking at the heritage of the places we visit and how they have contributed to our journey to Kingsnorth.
They will meet people taking collective action against the root causes of climate change in their community.
They will share our experiences of taking collective direct action with those we meet and invite them to join us at Kingsnorth.
