Bookfair news update

All stalls taken at the anarchist bookfair!

A quick note to update people on progress for this September's Bristol Anarchist Bookfair.

1. All available stalls at the bookfair have now been booked up. We had substantially more requests for tables than we actually have tables. In an effort to accommodate as many groups as possible, a number of applicants are being allocated less tables than they asked for - we will be in touch shortly with all applicants regarding their table allocation. As it is, over 25 groups/distros/campaigns etc from Bristol and beyond will have stalls. Any further requests for stall tables will go onto a reserve list.

2. The bookfair collective will be considering at its meeting this Thursday proposals to run workshops. Again we have limited space, and again we already have more proposals than space, so we will try to be creative to include as many as possible. If you are still considering proposing a workshop, we strongly suggest you email us your proposal by this Wednesday, 30 July.

We hope to have full details of stall holders and workshops available on our website by mid August, a month before the bookfair.

3. Bookfair socials - we have 2 more bookfair benefits lined up before the event, details will follow. We are also looking at running at least 2 socials on the evening of the bookfair, 1 in Easton and one more centrally. These will be put on with other individuals & groups, raising funds for various causes. Any volunteer helpers, and performers, are welcome to get in touch.

4. Bookfair publicity - is generally available. You can download info from our website, or send us an SAE and we'll post you flyers & posters. Even better pick some up when we meet, or from Kebele when it is open (14 Robertson Rd, BS5 6JY). We'll be out and about in the next few weeks distributing bookfair info so feel free to come up and ask if you have any questions, or email us.

The Bookfair is on 13 September 2008, from 10am to 5pm, at St Werburghs centre. Full details and a map are here http://www.bristolanarchistbookfair.org

Thanks - the Bookfair Collective
