Talk and film showing about the recent strikes in Egypt.

For the past two years Egypt has been shaken the biggest strike wave for a generation. Textile workers, train drivers, doctors and even tax collectors have taken to the streets to demand higher wages as food prices spiral out of control. Two short films by independent journalist and blogger Nora Younis, 'Strike' and 'Hussein Hegazi Street' explore the new workers' movement.

Introduced by Anne Alexander, Research Fellow, Non-Governmental Public Action Research Programme, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

8pm Easton Community Centre, Kilburn St, Easton
