Protest:
"We won't bail out the bankers"
Friday 10 October, 4pm - 6pm
Outsite Bradford and Bingley
Colston St
Bristol City Centre
(near fountains)
Bring whistles, drums, and instuments
BRISTOL
>No job cuts
>No home repossessions
>End student poverty

Nobody needs to be told that we are in the middle of a global economic
crisis of vast proportions. We are facing a global recession.
The neoliberal ideology that has dominated for so long is in tatters
as free market warriors carry out the biggest nationalisations in history.
For millions of people the downward spirals on the stock exchange
will play out in low wages, job losses and house repossessions.

The crisis can seem to be so big that there is no way to fight back.
But this simply isn't true. Even in the midst of the Great Depression
working people fought back. During the long recession that hit the UK in
the 1980s there was resistance - the steel workers, miners and dockers
all fought.

Let's make this demo as loud, angry and as militant as possible; bring drums, whistles, anything to make some noise with and even fi you don''t have anything just shout!. Make your own placards and banners, come up with slogans, let's just make this something to remember. Also one other thing whatever action we take, we need to be united in it...individual skirmishes undermine the whole united ethos of the demo; I'm not saying we should just stand there but whatever action we take must be done together. Tell everyone you know about the demo and show resistance to this crisis of capitalism.

Great demo... what next?

There will be a public forum introduced by Graham Turner (the economist what writes in that paper the guardian) to discuss what we can do about this economic crisis of theirs. Come and have your say.
