Mon @ Cube Cinema 3rd November / 8pm / £4/3 nobody refused entry for a lack of funds

Official selection at 11 film festivals including the Montreal World Film Festival, Bristol IndyMedia is proud to present "War Made Easy", the acclaimed documentary by Norman Solomon and narrated by Sean Penn. War Made Easy reaches into the Orwellian memory hole to expose a 50-year pattern of government deception and media spin that has dragged the United States into one war after another from Vietnam to Iraq. The film exhumes remarkable archival footage of official distortion and exaggeration from LBJ to George W. Bush, revealing in stunning detail how the American news media have uncritically disseminated the pro-war messages of successive presidential administrations. The film will be introduced by Robin Brookes, one of the Peace Tax Seven. The Peace Tax Seven are a small group of dedecated UK citizens who are going to the European Court of Human Rights to claim the right for Conscientious Objectors to have the Military part of their taxes diverted to a peace fund.
