Santa’s clamber around on the tiles and tinsel decorates a rooftop on the outskirts of Bristol.

But to the arms company, Raytheon, who occupy of the office block this isn’t entirely the season of cheers.

As the anti-arms trade rooftop protest enters its third week, the protesters have pledged to spend Christmas on the roof and even plan to see in the New Year there too!

The three protesters on the roof are protesting against Raytheon for breaking International Law by supplying WMD and are campaigning against Bristol’s involvement in the arms trade.

The protest has taken on a festive theme with Santa hats & coats plus a Christmas tree with tinsel and flashing lights.

One protester said - “We don’t know if Santa will be flying past on his sleigh. But the only present we’d want this Christmas is an end to the arms trade”

Supporters plan to rally again on Christmas day to support the rooftop protest.
Support the Raytheon Rooftop Protest 1 – 3 pm.

The Raytheon office is at Argentum House, located in the Bristol Business Park, near the UWE University of the West of England site on Coldharbour Lane, Frenchay. Turn off at the roundabout outside UWE and then left into the Business Park. Continue along this road until you see the Raytheon office block on your right. It’s the one with the tents on the roof and slogans painted on the tiles!

Transport from Bristol pick-up outside the Magpie Centre, off Stokes Croft.

Dress up festive and bring picnic Christmas dinner and drink to share.

Oh, and will someone bring the football!

Use your imagination for the rally on Christmas Day.

What about a Santa sack to tie on the end of their rope, gaudily wrapped presents, maybe some silly pressies, crackers, paper hats, party poppers, those thingies that uncoil and squeak when you blow them, hoist-able Xmas dinner, puddings, lots of edible treats and drinks for the Roofies, fun & games, etc etc.

You get the idea!
