Bath death in police custody

Death of a 39 year-old man in police custody yesterday.

There was a death in police custody in Bath yesterday. There are currently very few news reports - I was only able to find one on the BBC at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/somerset/7799226.stm

Although news agencies are going to be slow, it does seem as though the police and IPCC are dragging their feet on this one. Couldn't it have been announced this morning to catch the news instead of mid afternoon to miss the news? The BBC article states that IPCC are not to announce his name until after new year?
