On 30 April the Met Police met with the Met Police Authority(MPA), chaired by Mayor Boris Johnson, to discuss the G20 policing operation. Meanwhile, seperately it was announced the Met Police had paid out £85,000.00 damages to 5 protesters, who had taken part in a protest at the Mexican Embassy back in 2006. All this will make useful background reading for those attending the Bindymedia film night on May 4, that will discuss the G20, policing and protests (http://bristol.indymedia.org/article/690253).
Is it any wonder people are angry and concerned about the actions of the police and the state? No surprise then that this Saturday's protest in Bristol against police brutality and state harassment may attract significant numbers (see http://www.bristol.indymedia.org/article/690284)
