The police lease their cars, which is why they are always new or near new. Some/most of these plates are for cars that are too old, so therefore aren't police cars.

If you want to be 'detectives' then you've already failed one intelligence test.... doh....

We weren't terrorists when we went to the G20 but the police still cracked our heads open with batons, shoved cameras in our faces without our permission, used anti-terrorist laws to take babies out of prams and search underneath them, pushed people to the floor and killed them, arrested hundreds of people because they thought they 'might have been about to do something' (i.e. thought crimes).

The police use information to intimidate activists, to make them feel paranoid about being watched, to stop them leading normal lives. You are part of the police, whether just an admin worker or not, in the same way as the EDO workers are part of the defence industry, even of they just open the letters in the morning.

As you like saying to us: "if you haven't done anything wrong you have nothing to hide", and "if you don't like it, leave".

Surely the point is that there was violence at the G20 of was that guy who threw a chair through MacDonald’s window just having a laugh? Yes the police were well out of order in some of the things they did but it is a fact that those officers involved have been suspended and a full IPCC investigation is being carried out.

And it should be remembered that only a year or two ago people died in terrorist atrocities in London whilst the police and emergency services did their best to save as many lives as possible.

And Yes! - an innocent person was killed by the police in the aftermath and that should never have happened. It was sloppy it was unfocussed it was wrong. But so was the 50 or so deaths by the bombs of the terrorists.

The same sloppy wrong thinking allows idiots to post the reg numbers of innocent admin workers and think that this is some sort of blow against the state. Well it isn't - it is as sloppy and as awful as the stupidity of the death of Jean Charles de Menezes

So as for a welcome to your world - sorry mate - you seem to live on a different planet to the rest of us.

... the murder of an innocent person at the hands of state operatives is merely - sloppy?....

lets not forget that ian tomlinson and jean charles de menezes are just the tip of the iceberg. in the vast majority of cases of state violence the press chooses not to report.... and state violence comes in many forms - psychological violence and intimidation is not all that newsworthy, and sadly neither are the disproportionate killings and beatings meted out to the uk's black and asian populations....

the ipcc watches the backs of the police and cleans up their messes for them under the guise of pursuing justice.... we watch our backs by watching you....

If any of you protectors of freedom bother to read what was written and report it accurately, rather than select a word out of context and then add your own to hype it a bit more.##

This is what was actually said. "It was sloppy it was unfocussed it was wrong. But so was the 50 or so deaths by the bombs of the terrorists."

"Sloppy" "Awful" "Stupid" were the descriptive terms used. But the protectors of freedom select just "stupid" and add "merely" to add their false emphasis.

Welcome to your world of spin.

The idea that posting anyone's registration plate number on the Internet is 'as awful' as police executing an innocent man is something that I find totally repulsive.

I'm sorry but equating an Internet posting to being as bad as murder suggests that its you who lives on a different planet.

tick tack toe....

i did pick up on one of the words you used, it was "sloppy" not "stupid"..... so yes, lets read each other clearly before responding....

but to correct myself in your terms..... i think most people would agree ("protectors of freedom" as you label me, or not) - murder is yes "awful", but i hardly think the terms "stupid" or "sloppy" describe what it really means to take somebody's life....

a "stupid" or "sloppy" murder insinuates that it was not done as efficiently or effectively or without witnesses as it may have been...
in this vein, i would imagine many police do see the murder of charles jean de menezes as "sloppy"... are you a police officer by any chance?

in my eyes, murder is murder.... ask the families of the london bombings if they think the deaths of their families was "sloppy" or "unfocussed" - they would probably be as critical as me regarding your choice of words that serve only to minimise the reality....

murder is murder - it is death - it is really only the cleaning up of the blood that can be deemed "sloppy"...

yes, he is paid by someone.

And for those who like to justify the death of innocent people by mentioning the 7/7 attacks (nearly 4 years ago, not 1/2) tut tut tut!

Surely even you brainwashed muppets have worked out our own government carried out the attacks! if not, and if you brave enough to hear some truth then watch 7/7 the ripple effect on you tube. While you are watching, have some thought to the brave guy who made the film who is now facing life imprisonment!

And if, like you say, this terrible act has now lead to the rise of the police state why has there still not been an enquiry after this length of time? Why do you still believe the suicide bombers (who were actuall shot and killed at canary wharf on foot, some bombers hey!) planned and executed this event? Did they invite mayor guilliani from the US and benjamin netenyaho from isreal to come and watch?

What the hell is wrong with you people?
