![]() Stop BIA! Bristol International Airport (BIA) has applied for planning permission to expand. This development aims to increase passengers by 60% by 2016, increase passenger flights by 40%, summer night flights by 50%, car journeys by over 2m per year, and carbon emissions by at least 40%. Time to stop the carbon-expansion madness!

Best wishes.
Yes, this will save some of the car journeys to Heathrow & B'ham, which I make at the moment.
I will be writing to object. This expansion is crazy and the fact that they are trying to avoid paying tax makes me angry. http://bristol.indymedia.org.uk/article/690113
So who do Stan and UK Citizen think is to blame for climate change? The US? China? Maybe their heads are so far down in the sand they haven't spotted yet that it's their love of fossil fuel powered cheap flights around the world that's driving it. Maybe if they lifted their heads just enough to let in a ray of light, they might spot that real action to mitigate climate change won't start until we all, including themselves, support each other in doing something about it. That means changing the way we do things, and not shrugging our shoulders and thinking things will be alright.
It is just a way for governments to tax us more.
CO2 is not a polutant it is a requirement fro photosynthesis.
Higher levels of CO2 mean healthier plants and as a vegan that suits me fine.
