Royal Mail Picket/Mitie Cleaners Solidarity Demo

The Royal Mail Picket, I know about, is at the Montpelier Sorting Depot on Station rd and runs from 5.00am to 10.00am - come and show your postie your support.

We invite everybody to demonstrate at the main offices of Mitie Group this Friday (17 July) at 12, in solidarity with a demo at the Willis building in London on the same day. Meet outside the Kebele at 11 to catch the bus.

The demo follows further repression of Mitie cleaners; yesterday a chemical training course for Mitie cleaners was raided by immigration officials and 3 cleaners, an Ecuadorian and two Bolivians, were detained. This is the latest in a series of attempts to undermine the cleaners' struggle, which saw the dismissal of 4 workers after fighting for a living wage (see https://london.indymedia.org.uk/articles/881 for further info).

This demonstration will send a message to the Mitie Group that their unjust and repressive tactics will not go unnoticed. Lets give 'em a headache, bring something to bang!
