The 400th British soldier has been killed in Afghanistan. Bristol Stop The War supporters will be reading the names of the dead, British & Afghan, on the Centre. Details are below. Please try to come along and distribute the information via any networks you have available

Date: Friday 9th March

Time: 5.30pm to 6.30pm

Place: The Centre, opposite the Hippodrome

Six more British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. The number of British deaths has reached 404. Tens of thousands of Afghans have been kiilled during the ten years of war and occupation.

Popular opposition in Afghanistan to the occupation is rising. The burning of the Koran by US soldiers has increased resentment against the occupying armies. The Karzai government, backed by NATO, has little power even in Kabul.

At the same time Britain and the USA are preparing for more military adventures in Syria and Iran.

Immediate withdrawal of the NATO armies is the only way to resolve this situation. The Afghan people must be allowed to chart their own futures. No more lives must be wasted in this doomed enterprise.

Bristol Stop The War Coalition calls on all supporters to join us on the Centre where the names of the dead, Afghan & British, will be read.

Please circulate this information as widely as possible and try to support this event. For further information contact bristolstopwar@hotmail.com
