As part of the ongoing campaign to Save The NHS, we have John Lister, director of London Health Emergency speaking at our Open Meeting on Monday 28th May. London Health Emergency, with John at its head, has been at the forefront of campaigns to defend the NHS since the 1980s. This meeting is an unrivalled opportunity to hear him speak and discuss how we can build an effective campaign locally to defend the NHS. Please help us publicise this meeting as widely as possible.

The government's Health & Social Care Bill has been passed. This doesn't mean that the fight to save the NHS is over - it's just starting. People up and down the country will resist these changes.

The new act will fragment the NHS. Private companies like Richard Branson's Virgin are taking over services to make massive profits for the rich. Like the USA, many of us will end up with no health care and like the 1930's paying just to visit the doctor. The changes are costing billions of pounds at a time when the government is also cutting the NHS budget.
