![]() As well as selling lovely homemade cake, coffee and tea, Hydra Books stocks ‘radical’ literature on a wide range of issues – politics, history, feminism, philosophy, people's struggles etc. Run by local people as a workers co-operative, the Hydra Bookshop grew out of Bristol Radical History Group and similar networks across the city. The bookshop provides a meeting space, puts on events and is an outlet for independent non-commercial publishers and authors to make their books and ideas accessible to the wider community. Hydra Books has been unable to open these past couple of weeks due to problems with vandalism and threats made to members of the collective. |

BIG UP
don't forget to publicise how people can volunteer, and how people can get trained to help you guys host evening events
hey, lets show our support for the hydra, find out who and why they are being threatened and go sort them out. We are under attack, attack one and you attack us all. I would love to catch one of the loosers who think its cool to intimidate folk and show them what intimidation is.
Meeting violence with vilolence only increases the violence.
If one side uses violence, that is considered to legitimise the use of violence by the other.
Meanwhile, all those who despise violence shrink away.
Also - I think the problem is sorted now.
thank you to everyone who has supported the hydra through this difficult time x
