Conservatives have capped housing benefit for young people, slashed back education & public services, criminalised squatters and sacked hundred of thousands of public sector workers.

They now plan another even deeper assault on the lives and housing of young people, single parents and the unemployed people.

Camerons government are drawing up plans to

+ Force unemployed people to work for free - thus removing paid jobs from the market and helping his friends get around that tricky minimum wage issue.
+ Forcing single mothers to seek employment or get cut off
+ Greatly increasing the already ridiculous amounts of hoops you must jump through to qualify for job seekers or incapacity support
+ Barring people under the age of 25 from housing benefits.

The government accuses the 99% of having an 'culture of entitlement' whilst systematically funnelling as much public money as is possible into the hands of multinational companies which got them elected, either through bailouts of banks or privatisation and sell off of public assets and services.

These plans will result in a vast increase in homelessness and all the challenges that it brings. With young people in particular, we have already seen the creation of a lost generation. It now appears they're to be thrown out onto the streets.

Join us in Bristol city centre to resist and fight back against where this ConDem government is dragging us.

We will be gathering with decorated cardboard boxes to make a cardboard city in the city centre in defence of the vital welfare safety nets.

Bring cardboard boxes and signs and banners and pots and pans to make a racket.
