Global Justice Cinema is all about watching short documentaries (or segments of large ones) to inspire discussion and actions.

Our next film night is on Indigenous People

The treatment of indigenous and tribal peoples is a major humanitarian issue. Racist attitudes based on stereotypes are increasingly leading to the destruction of the culture, land and livelihoods of indigenous peoples across the planet. And yet the destruction of indigenous peoples is not inevitable, and indeed it is in the interests of humanity for them to survive as they often possess unique and expert knowledge.

Join Bristol WDM for a series of short films highlighting the situation of tribal peoples across the world, from Southeast Asia to South America. We promise lively debate and a fascinating insight into a rich tapestry of cultures that risk being lost forever.
