![]() Under Stalin the goals of the 1917 Russian Revolution disappeared from view. The original socialist project of the Bolsheviks collapsed. But how should socialists today interpret this period of history? Was this simply a case of a rightward bureaucratic drift from Lenin to Stalin, or did Stalin's policies lead to a counter revolution? The theory and practice of State Capitalism seeks to address this problem. Discussion meeting of Bristol Stokes Croft Socialist Workers Party. Thursday August 23rd, 730pm.
