On Wednesday night, the City Council voted to approve plans for a new primary school in Ashley Down.
Earlier in the year, the Council announced plans for the new school, which was to sit next to City of Bristol College, Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and a junior playing field, owned by the college. Most residents at the time were supportive of the need for a new school and there seemed to be a general view that the design of the new building was reasonably good.

On Nov 30th, Rising Tide-Plymouth 'Climate refugees' d-locked themselves to Barclay's bank building's entrance to highlight the investments this bank is doing on Coal, the Tar Sands and the Arms Trade in times of Climate emergency.

Two activists stayed locked on inside the building entrance for 2 1/2 hours chanting, singing, and informing Barclay's customers of Barclay's dodgy investments, before they were arrested. Barclays eventually closed their main entrance and members of the public were very supportive.

This morning a team of Santa's arrived at the BT offices in Bristol Temple Quay to expose the truth behind the companies pension scheme. BT pensions are funding coal mining in South Wales, where Merthyr Tydfil hosts one of Europe's largest opencast coal mines. BT Pension Scheme owns a company called Hermes who own Argent, of Miller-Argent fame - the company who operate the mine. Staff pension money is secretly being spent on coal mining.

I just want to say 'Thanks' for all the words and deeds of support over the past months.
In this instance paticularly Kebele.
My friend J told me last night of a recent posting by some sad case slagging off the recent Kebele party.
While it's true I didn't attend [I was drunk and had an appointment with the gutter that night],
I heard afterwards what a good night it was and how so many people showed up that they had to overflow into the pub next door.
Although I've had differences with the 'ruling elite', someone critising Kebele for trowing a party while they threw a brick at Theales' window and being all self righteous about it is down right low.
I just want to ask why they burn their energy trying to destroy groups?
So to the sad case I say think on this:
just remember who's been there for right from the start and all along, supporting us through this crazy roller coaster ride.
