Bristol Indymedia Donation PageA guide to the various ways you can donate money to the Bristol Indymedia democratic media project. Bristol Indymedia's Income
Bristol Indymedia is financed 100% by donations from people like you! We have no advertising, do not change any fees for the use of the site, do not get money from grants or funds. This means we are financially independent from any pressure; it also means we always welcome donations from supporters. If you have used the site and like what we are doing, if you believe in a democratic media and not one where rich tycoons or multinational corporations control what you read, see and hear - then please consider supporting the project. Your donations pay towards our server costs, finance the printing of Hard Copy (our offline newsletter) and allow us to do outreach at community events. There are a number of ways that you can donate us a little money; Standing Order If you could pledge just a few quid into our bank account on a monthly basis, this would means we have a guaranteed income to meet our monthly server costs. Whatever you can afford - a pound per month, two or three quid a month, a fiver a month or more - is the best way help financially sustain the project and allow us to grow. If you wish to do this, then here is the information you need (your bank will normally set a standing order up for you for free, just ask them if you are not sure. Those who have internet banking can set up a standing order themselves.);
One-Off Donations If you wish to just donate us some money, we are always happy to receive your support at any time and for any amount. There are a number of ways you can do this;
Any donations for a fiver or more (by post/standing order - provided we have your address) and a pound or more at events (excluding entry fee) and we'll give you a free Bristol Indymedia badge as a big thank you! Got No Cash? What if you want to donate to the project, but you have not got any money? No problem at all - your time and effort is more valuable to us than money - so why not get involved; See our 'Getting Involved' page for more information. |
