Venue is dead - Long Live Venue. That is, after the disappearance of the sadly-lamented What's on Magazine for Bristol and Bath from newsagents shelves, a new print incarnation has re-surfaced, within the Friday Evening Post, as the Post Weekend Magazine. For those who missed the widely-publicized story of cuts at Northcliffe HQ, Bristol, briefly the Post is no longer publishing a Saturday edition - what has replaced this is a glossy magazine sold as part of the Post's Friday edition. Actually it's quite well-put together, and so far they seem to be avoiding reviewing anything other than restaurants.

 

There is also the Venue website, which again is quite nicely put-together, though independent studies show it has only approx 2k hits per day - to put this in perspective, The Guardian Website has approx 500k hits per day. What will they think of next?
