Rail fare strike - the more the merrier

category south west | transport | announcement author Wednesday January 16, 2008 13:31author by Matt Banning - Bath Activist Network Report this post to the editors

Following the community meeting last night in Bath, commuter group More Train Less Strain + other ne'erdowells will be holding a rail fare strike on Monday 28th January morning, handing out rail fare strike tickets and cattle masks at entrances to train stations, so you too can be part of the Monday morning commuter cattle truck. First Great Western are the UK's most profitable and least reliable rail service provider, who've just announced a 10% fare hike. It's rumoured that FGW will have their staff relaxed from hassling folks about fares on the day, and Yate, Yatton, Frome and Oxford groups will also take part. Not sure about Bristol commuters, yet.
