Budstock festival started 17 years ago and has consistantly showcased the top musical talent that the south west has to offer. Run by Jolyon and Toby Holroyd and their friends, The next Budstock will be lucky thirteen and will add another twenty or so bands to the hundred or more that have performed previously. Toby Holroyd Tragically Died in a road accident in 1995, Budstock continues to be dedicated to his memory. Budstock has been held indoors and outdoors, though more recently it has enjoyed the beautiful setting of the river Otter delta and Budleigh Salterton beach. read full story / add a comment

URGENT PROTEST - TONY BLAIR AT LYMPSTONE TOMORROW! Troops out of Iraq! Say no to Trident! We have found out that Tony Blair will be visiting the Lympstone Commando base tomorrow (Thursday). Exeter Stop the War Coalition and Exeter CND have called an emergency protest against Blair - meet 2.30pm opposite the base gates. You can get to the Lympstone base by car or public transport - it is on the main bus route to Exmouth, the train station at Exton is not far from the base. Please attend if at all possible. CWU, the postal workers\' union, have agreed to an improved offer from management in a ballot of their 180,000 membership. The deal includes several improvements on what was first discussed, and it is hoped will avert mass disruption to the postal service.
