The state of Bristol's prisons, like many in the the UK, are in a dangerously precarious position. Bristol prison is so overcrowded that ninety inmates are being forced to double up in cells built for one person. At Eastwood Park womens prison near Thornbury the Prison Reform Trust (PRT) revealed in a recent report that it to is overcrowded with too many inmates. And then there is the notorious Ashfield Young Offenders Institute in Pucklechurch which was forced recently to remove 170 inmates for their own safety. read full story / add a comment
