On the 5th February, Israel and Egypt shut all borders with Gaza. Egypt has said it will close the Rafah border indefinitely as Gaza is an 'occupied territory'. No Borders UK calls for an immediate opening of Israeli and Egyptian borders with Gaza. No Borders calls for a day of action on 27th April. Target those profiting from the siege (BAE, G4S, Caterpillar, EDO, Raytheon etc.). read full story / add a comment

ITT (as in EDO /ITT/MBM) are trying to hide their evil profiteering from the arms trade. The fact that once manufactured their bloody products can end up anywhere, including rogue states seems to be of little or no concequence. Another examle of why six people took matters (and hammers) into their own hands when in Brighton this January. read full story / add a comment

On Saturday 21st March about 60 people marched around Horfield Prison in Bristol in a "Wall of Sound" protest to show solidarity with those who tried to disable the Israeli war machine when Israel was in the process of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. These people who have been locked up in Horfield Prison since the 16th January 2009 were attempting to prevent atrocities from taking place. The worldwide revulsion of the Gaza massacres shows that the whole world accuses Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity with the exception of the US and the UK. read full story / add a comment

A group consisting of national and international artists, musicians and activists have come together to create greater awareness and understanding of the situation in Gaza. We are looking to stimulate debate as well as raising funds, with peaceful dialogue, utilising alternative viewpoints and open discussion. We are doing this on a voluntary basis and are looking for long-term solutions. We welcome you all to get involved and take part in whichever way you can. If all you can do is provide some catering or prizes for the raffle that would be deeply appreciated. We do still need some prizes and cake makers if you are interested. read full story / add a comment |
