The BNP did not win anything in Bristol or the South West, but did win 2 seats as MEPs in the north. This was far, far less than the 5 seats they were hoping for - but still 2 too many. However the actual number of votes cast for the fascists was LESS than the 2004 elections, just that so many voters stayed away that they won a greater percentage of the vote.
