There are plans for the fluoridation of Bristol tap water. The government argues this will increase levels of dental health. This is believed by many to be an unnecessary and possibly dangerous mass medication, especially to children and people with certain medical conditions. If people want to add fluoride to their diet they can buy it in toothpaste, mouth wash and other products. They have a choice. When fluoride is put into our drinking water, the freedom to choose is taken from us. It is our right to decide what medication we ingest. The final decision on fluoridation should rest with water consumers - we the people. At present this power lies with the local health authority. read full story / add a comment

Come to the Carny-ville! The Invisible Circus an associated artists entice you to become the fool you have always been. An anarchic pantomime of degradation with a delicate frosting of candy floss smeared into sawdust and smudged lipstick.Dredging up the weird and murky worlds of past carnivals and fun-fairs, the show will be populated by weird and wonderful characters, huge contraptions, twisted side shows and games galore, from right in your face to high above your head. The show is happening all around you so release your spirits and salve your souls as we roll out some of Bristol's best cabaret, bands and DJ's for the late show. read full story / add a comment

Margaret Monica emailed supporters to say, "For those interested in the ongoing saga, our lawyers put the arguments today for dropping our case. (There have been two re-trials now, of Phil & Toby and of Josh Richards, ending in acquittals. Our lawyers argued it would be 'oppressive' to continue with our re-trial, therefore.
