In these weird times, the Tories have only announced one policy - scrapping ID cards and the Big Brother database behind them.

In the first PMQ, Brown said ID cards were necessary to control borders (surely he's confusing them with passports?!).

Cameron pointed out that Alistair Darling, the new Chancellor didn't support ID cards:
http://www.politics.co.uk/news/zopinion-former-index/equality/brown-commits-id-cards-$475660.htm

The LibDems have opposed ID cards from the start.

Meeting tonight, Wednesday, 4th July at 8pm at The White Bear
