The Merthyr to Mayo Bike Ride is spending two weeks travelling between Merthyr Tydfil and Rossport in the West of Ireland: two communities struggling to resist fossil fuel extraction in their areas. We hope to highlight the stories of the Merthyr and Mayo communities, explore the links between them and examine the global significance of their struggles. Our time in these communities provides an opportunity to learn from one another, to share stories and to explore the things we have in common: we are looking for ways to work in solidarity with one another.

The ride leaves Merthyr on Sunday 23rd May. read full story / add a comment
