Here's the local council elections - and the BNP did badly - even though immigration was rated as the no.2 issue, distrust with 3 main parties was at all time high... The BNP did not even manage a 3rd place - 4th being the best they did in any ward - often coming last or 2nd to last. read full story / add a comment

The MP election results are in, local council ones not due in till later this morning. One change - a Tory win, one new constituency and the Tories took that and the BNP did badly. read full story / add a comment

Following on from the discussion and info about the elections for MPs http://bristol.indymedia.org/article/692368 - this is about the local elections on 6th May: Voting is not THE answer, but it is AN answer. Not voting favours groups like UKIP and the BNP whos voters will come out and who have much naster agendas... Better a LibDem or Green than BNP or English Democrat. But not only that, strong votes in favour of progressive candidates sends a signal to the population at large that we are not alone. read full story / add a comment

Voting is not THE answer, but it is AN answer. Not voting favours groups like UKIP and the BNP whos voters will come out and who have much naster agendas... Better a LibDem or Green than BNP or UKIP. But not only that, strong votes in favour of progressive candidates sends a signal to the population at large that we are not alone. This is a discussion to start the ball rolling about how to vote...the choice is always yours; this is just extra info! read full story / add a comment
