Tomorrow,1 May, is May Day, or International Workers Day, whose efforts of course have led to us getting a public holiday on the nearest Monday. Bit of a quiet one in Bristol this year isn't it? Although around the world plenty of class conscious workers will be commemorating past and present struggles with some vigour. read full story / add a comment

The strike by CWU members (http://www.cwu.org/) this Thursday and Friday looks set to go ahead, despite intense pressure and intimidation by Royal Mail bosses, the entire Government, all 3 main political parties, the CBI and every boss keen to exploit their workers for profit. On the sidelines, historic strikebreakers like TNT (remember the printers Wapping strike?), Manpower and other private companies hoping to benefit from the break-up of Royal Mail are licking their lips in anticipation.

Tuesday 4th August 8AM - 2PM we are going to the Environment Agency
at Aztec West http://bristol.indymedia.org/article/690781
and the magic roundabout solidarity camp time: non stop till we get(create) what we want.

With the invite to party down in the Isle of White to celebrate people power of the vesta workers who are occupying the factory, people who cant make it down there will be visiting the Environment Agency, who are advocates for making a nice environment, looks like a great diversity of tactics and pressure from many sides to get the just transition we all need for green jobs and a livable future yay! And on the probable likely day of eviction order and attempt, people will gather down at the centre at 5.30 or as some people have been saying will go go go and help Occupy and Resist! the eviction.
