After supposedly being refused permission of march in Bristol, the closest to the West country the far-right group came was EDL's Welsh branch, the WDL, who made plans for marches in Swasea and Newport. Meanwhile the EDL planned a march in Leeds. Here is an update. read full story / add a comment

The thugs of the far-right kept a low profile during MEP elections, but now they are trying to assert themselves.... Together we can stop them - again. The BNP failed in the elections in the South West, now is the time to stop them taking the streets and drive them out. read full story / add a comment

The BNP did not win anything in Bristol or the South West, but did win 2 seats as MEPs in the north. This was far, far less than the 5 seats they were hoping for - but still 2 too many. However the actual number of votes cast for the fascists was LESS than the 2004 elections, just that so many voters stayed away that they won a greater percentage of the vote. Now a petition has been launched to tell them that with dwindling support, they don't represent us at all... read full story / add a comment

For those thinking that a vote for the BNP in the upcoming local elections in Bristol or the South West MEP elections, that it is any sort of protest vote, all that is needed is a dip into the foetid waters of far-right politics to make you realise what the BNP are really like. read full story / add a comment

The BNP are standing 8 candidates in the local elections in Bristol. As small cadres of BNP activists trawl the working class areas of Bristol pushing the party's message of racism and hate, their attempts to wrap themselves in the flag and bask in the glow of the 'Dunkirk Spirit' are coming unstuck. read full story / add a comment

In the South West the BNP and it's racism has been opposed. A meeting in early March of the British National Party at a hotel in Gloucestershire had to be called off after protesters heard about the gathering. In Exeter they were opposed too.
